Who She Is

A revival of Catholic womanhood for our time.

January Donovan is the architect of Catholic Feminine Formation and the founder of The Woman School, a grassroots movement to reclaim the feminine genius through human formation.

She is leading a Feminine Formation School as a counter-movement to the mental health crisis and moral decay that have infiltrated the domestic church, causing faithful Catholic women to feel overwhelmed, uninspired, and unable to bring order and beauty into their marriages, family life, and work.

Faithful Catholic women are struggling today not because of a lack of faith, but because of a lack of human formation necessary to face the demands of a godless and genderless culture. Formation gives women a greater capacity to fight the spiritual battle around us.

Evil grows when good women are silent, comfortable, and overwhelmed.
January Donovan

The Sexual Revolution did not merely fracture the family. It robbed women of both their faith and their femininity. The fight for women today can no longer be reduced to external freedom, but must recover interior freedom: the freedom to choose the highest good.

Formation is the missing anchor in the pro-life battle. It is only when women have life within that they have the capacity to choose life. January is on a mission to form women to become whole and fully alive.

She is leading a feminine revival by bringing Catholic Feminine Formation into colleges, parishes, pregnancy centers, and organizations around the world. Through this work, she is introducing a new feminine archetype that makes Our Lady, the New Eve, a relevant model of womanhood in modern society.

Beyond her work, January's deepest formation happens at home. She has been married for twenty years and is a mother of eight children. She speaks not from theory but from the lived ground where the feminine genius is most fully tested and most fully revealed.

Why January

The voice this moment requires.

Nearly everyone today can diagnose the crisis facing women.

We talk endlessly about identity confusion, anxiety, loneliness, the collapse of relationships, the crisis of masculinity, and the impact of these on children. We debate feminism's failures without offering an alternative solution to equality that does not invalidate women's progress.

January's contribution is different.

She believes the fight for women's external freedom is largely over in the West. The new fight is for women's interior freedom: the freedom to choose the highest good. Most women do not want to return to a model of fragile femininity, where women were told to be silent and compliant. Nor can we stay in the current model of vicious feminism, where unlimited freedom becomes a license to defy our original nature, leaving women lonely, anxious, and angry.

What makes January revolutionary is her ability to give women the generational tools that are no longer being passed down through grandmothers, mothers, communities, schools, or culture. She has built a proven feminine mentorship model used by thousands of women across more than fifty countries, ages eighteen to eighty, in every profession and every season of life.

She is the architect of the Feminine Revival. A grassroots movement to reclaim femininity through formation. A new model of womanhood where women reach the heights of their potential without conflicting with their original nature.

She is changing the world one formed woman at a time.

Her Framework

The Feminine Revival Strategy.

Three movements that together form a complete vision for the renewal of women, homes, parishes, and culture. One formed woman at a time.

01
Feminine Archetype
A new vision of womanhood.
Not fragile femininity. Not vicious feminism. A woman who rises to her call as a nurturer of humanity, intentionally pursuing a life of excellence and wholeness, modeled after Our Blessed Mother Mary, the original New Woman.
02
Feminine Formation
The skills every woman needs.
The Woman School has trained thousands of women in the mindset and skill set required to live out their femininity with interior strength, tenderness, and honor in every season of life.
03
Feminine Mentorship
The return of spiritual motherhood.
Catholic Feminine Formation revives the practice of women guiding, supporting, and forming other women, restoring an inheritance once passed naturally from grandmothers to mothers to daughters.
In Her Words

January on formation, faith, and the future.

The Sexual Revolution robbed us of both our faith and our femininity. Let us dare to imagine evangelizing the world back to God through our femininity.
January Donovan
Go tell the world about Our Lady, and if necessary, use words. It is how we incarnate her in our daily lives that the world will come to know her as our universal mother.
January Donovan
Feminine Formation is how we raise the standard of culture for generations to come.

Formation is the missing anchor in the pro-life battle. It is only when women have life within that they have the capacity to choose life.
